ESG Performance

United States Court House

ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Governance. There is growing evidence that suggests that ESG factors, when integrated into investment analysis and portfolio construction, may offer investors potential long-term performance advantages.

Past performance is not predictive, nor a guarantee, of future returns. This chart illustrates the growth of $1,000 over time, and is comprised of data collected from the Informa/PSN Enterprise database.  The MSCI KLD 400 Social Index is a capitalization weighted index of 400 U.S. securities that provides exposure to companies with outstanding Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) ratings and excludes companies whose products have negative social or environmental impacts. This index was launched in May, 1990 as the Domini Social Index.

The S&P 500 Index is a capitalization weighted index of 500 U.S. large-cap securities, and is widely regarded as the best single gauge of large-cap U.S. stocks.  This index does not consider ESG factors in its composition.
